last week we decided to play tourist and explored our own city via public transportation. so, we ditched our cars and took the “L” train into downtown and the chicago water taxi to navigate other various parts of the city. it was quite an adventure, and the kids had a blast!
here are the lessons i learned, 1) chicago is beautiful, and i could see us even living here for good one day, 2) i’m truly a big city girl, 3) never ever, ever take my car for granted, 4) waiting for public transportation is utterly dreadful with two screaming children, 5) i can’t kick out the SoCal in me — i prefer to drive, not walk! 😉
