hi, my name is hannah, and i am an instagram addict.
instagram. for the last year and a half you are where i documented our lives, met friends from around the world, and derived deep inspiration. you have been my preferred means of capturing our day to day lives. through you, i have created a collage of family moments that i never want to forget. but i think there is something about having actual physical photographs that adds emotional intangibles to priceless moments. and so, i was super excited when Ink361 contacted us asking if we’d like to try some of their products.
i ordered several 4×4 photo prints in both semi-gloss and metallic, an 8×8 photo print in semi-gloss, and a 5×5 metal print in satin.
i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the prints. the semi-gloss prints have a satiny finish and come out a bit matte while the metallic prints are super glossy and rich in color. the metallic prints are very bold, and are beautiful for landscape photography. personally though, i’ve always been a fan of matte over glossy photo paper, and i prefer the semi-gloss for portrait shots. i do suggest uploading a higher resolution photo for prints larger than 5×5. my 8×8 print was ordered directly off my instagram and it came out a bit fuzzy and not as crisp as my 5×5 metal print or 4×4 photo prints.

metallic (left) vs. semi-gloss (right)i ordered one metal print because i was intrigued with the idea of my photo being printed on aluminum. i have to say, that i really love the way it came out. next time, i’m going to order bigger ones for our living room. (the metal prints come with a block wall mount on the back for easy hanging so your picture won’t hang flush but will float about half an inch off the wall. they also have slightly rounded corners.)
all in all, i’m very satisfied by the quality products at ink361.
