Happy first birthday, my everbug. That was fast! A little too fast. You are growing at an exponential rate and I wish I could somehow freeze time and keep you just the way you are right this moment. You have the most infectious smile, a voracious appetite, and you are the most independent and strong willed baby I have ever met. Nothing will stop you from getting into big brother’s puzzles or mommy’s makeup or that pile of freshly folded laundry.
You are 15th percentile in weight and 20th percentile in height. I don’t know how you’re such a tiny baby because you eat more than Jaden! You have 5 itty bitty teeth which you use very well. I’ve never needed to mash up or puree food for you because you’ve always been an efficient eater. You started sitting up at 5 months, crawling at 8 months, and walking at 10 months (though crawling is still your main means of transportation.)
Anytime you hear music, you start dancing. The beat to Oppa Gangnam Style gets you especially excited and you’ve been attempting to dance to those moves since you were only 9 months: video evidence here.
Your very first word was “MORE, MORE!” (as in, give me more food right this very moment!) And your second and third words were “wa-wa” for water and “papa.”
Though I wish we could somehow keep you a baby forever, I can’t wait to see your personality unfold over the next year. You bring so much laughter and love to our family. We love you so very much.
